PHOTO CATEGORIES
ANIMALS AND PETS
As a photographer, I have always enjoyed taking photos of different animals, including farm animals and pets, and will arrange to come to your location and provide for all your photographic needs.
PHOTO PRINTS
All of my photos are available for sale, either as a print or as a gift item. Some cannot be printed to hang on a wall due to size restraints and cropping of the photo. Please contact me to let me know if you are interested in purchasing any of my photos and I will let you know in what format it is available and if a print to hang on your wall we can then discuss options for size and media.
WILDLIFE & NATURE
My favourite area of photography is taking photos of wildlife and nature. I try to spend as much time as I can travelling the many backroads of Manitoba and walking along all those forest trails to see what rare and endangered species I can find. I also take photos of the ordinary species found in nature, so if you see something you like please contact me using the email below.
PORTRAITS
When it comes to portraits, I like to take unique photos of my subjects, sometimes capturing a side that may seldom be seen through a candid shot, and at other times photographing seniors in one of their favourite get-ups and taking part in whichever gifts they are passionate about. This photo was taken of me and my photographer's helper, my good friend and fellow photographer Henk von Pickartz
EXPERIENCE
15 YEARS AS A PROFESSIONAL
I have spent a good part of my life as a photographer and honed my skills both at learning how to take quality photos that are pleasing to the eye, and knowing how to edit those photos to bring them to life.
BOTH A PHOTOGRAPHER AND TEACHER
Although I am passionate about photography, I also love to learn and share what I learn with others. If you follow me on Facebook and other Social Media sites, you will see that I try to give a story and some detailed information, to accompany each photo I post.

A NATURE LOVER FIRST AND FOREMOST
As a young boy, my Dad taught me and my siblings about nature and how to respect what we encounter while outdoors enjoying that which presents itself to us in all the glory that "Mother Nature" offers us. One of the things I try to do is to make sure that I leave no trace that I was ever-present in nature, other than the photos I return home with, and I also make sure to let others know to do the same thing.
FROM AN OLD 35MM TO A DSLR
My first camera was a Mercury II, 35mm, Split Film, Manual Camera ~ a camera that was given to me by my Dad and one I had a lot of fun learning to use. Since then I have also owned a Minolta 35mm Camera, and 2 different Olympus DSLR Cameras and now have upgraded in the last few years to a Nikon DSLR Camera System with various semi-pro and pro Lenses. My experience with all of these has helped to make me a better photographer and my growth is continuous as I am always striving to get the "Holy Grail" of photos.
